Hardy Bending Forks
Screaming Pigeon Forge presents: the Hardy Bending Forks.
Bending loops and curls by hand or over the anvil horn can be a real chore, but with the aid of bending forks that job becomes a breeze! This tool is purchased as a flat plate with the pins welded in. In the pictures above you can see a piece of tube welded on which matches the 30mm square hardy hole in my anvil. This tool is something you buy and modify to suit your own purposes. Hell, if you felt inclined you could even weld a piece of angle iron to the bottom and use it as a vice-based bending tool exclusively! The sky is the limit on this one.
Hardy tools are shipped without a shank, as all anvils are different. Mine uses a 30mm square straight for reference.
Small: pins are 12mm in diameter, with a centre to centre distance of 28mm (~16mm edge to edge). This is designed for smaller more intricate work.
Medium: pins are 16mm in diameter, with a centre to centre distance of 37mm (~21mm edge to edge). This is designed for medium-sized general work.
Large: pins are 20mm in diameter, with a centre to centre distance of 46mm (~26mm edge to edge). This is designed for larger or heavier work, where thermal mass and thickness matter.
Should the pins arrive bent or not straight, don't fret. they're easily moved back to position by heating with a torch and bending them straight (with proper PPE of course).
